Dioscuri Press
Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
Dioscuri Press is an independent publisher based in Dublin, Ireland. We keep things simple: we collect only the information needed to send you our newsletter, deliver your free book, and respond to your enquiries. We never sell your personal information.
What we collect, and why
Newsletter. If you join our mailing list, we collect your email address in order to send you news about our books and authors, and to deliver your free welcome book. Our legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link found in every email we send.
Contact form. If you contact us, we collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message in order to respond to you. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries sent to us.
We do not collect any other personal information through this website, and we do not use advertising trackers.
Who processes your information
We use a small number of trusted services to operate this site, each of which processes data on our behalf under their own privacy safeguards:
EmailOctopus stores our mailing list and sends our newsletter. Jotform receives and stores messages sent through our contact form. BookFunnel delivers your free welcome book. If you click a purchase link, you will be taken to the retailer's own website (such as Amazon or Audible), whose own privacy policy then applies.
Affiliate links
As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. Purchase links on this site may be affiliate links, which means we may receive a small commission if you buy a book through them, at no extra cost to you. Clicking these links does not share any personal information from us with Amazon.
How long we keep your information
Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe, after which your address is removed from our active mailing list. Contact form messages are kept only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, unless they relate to an ongoing business matter such as a rights agreement.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie) or your local supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, or to ask us anything about this policy, please get in touch through the contact form on our main page.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information — for example, by adding analytics or a new service — we will update this page and revise the date at the top.
